This award-winning comedian and former Canadian freestyle-wrestler, Dan Joffre, is an accomplished actor with a unique ability to connect with people from all walks of life. Using lightening-fast wit, signature improvisational singing, colourful characters, sketches and stand up routines, Dan's comedic visions are brought to life.

Historically speaking…

After the Atlanta Olympic trials, Dan jumped off the Montreal wrestling mat and onto the Vancouver entertainment stage fulltime. Versatile in both dramatic and comedic acting, Dan has become an internationally recognized actor, working both as an actor in the TV/film industry and as a live improv comedian on the public stage and in the corporate world.

In 2004, as a veteran of over 1800 improv comedy shows, Dan, along with his wife Azuure, established That’s Hilarious Entertainment, an umbrella company dedicated to producing and headlining both public and custom corporate comedy events year round. Recently honoured the Canadian Comedy Award for 'Male Improviser of the Year', Dan is also a 2x Montreal Just for Laughs World Improv Champion.

The Dan Joffre Live Comedy show

Dan's flagship comedy party incorporates all the award-winning improv formats and sketches that Dan and the team have developed over the years. It's an mega-sized, improv, music, multimedia and sketch comedy experience.

For Lansmen looking for laughs! Imagine "Whose Line is it Anyway?" with a little matza meal thrown in. Dan and his Kosher Comedy Crew use quick wit and audience suggestions to create hilarious Kosher style comedy skits for the whole family.

What exactly does Dan do?

Dan entertains, unifies and inspires through laughter. He takes the care to learn your company's culture in order to make your event entertainment relevant, meaningful and hysterically funny.

Azuure Joffre

Azuure is the Co-Creator of That's Hilarious Entertainment and Co-Producer of the public, music and corporate performances. A native of Montreal, Azuure graduated from the Royal Conservatory of Music while competing as a classical pianist. She received a BFA from Concordia University, has toured extensively as a singer, and continues her career as a featured vocalist abroad and at home.

Actor/Co-Star

Margret Nyfors

Margret is recognized as one of Canada’s funniest improv actors, and has been Dan's co-star since show #1. When not on the That's Hilarious stage, she competes at tournaments and festivals all over North America. Also a mainstage performer with the Vancouver TheatreSports League, Margret is a well-respected instructor of the improv form, teaching a wide variety of people including actors and professionals. Presently, Margret is exploring her love of writing and real estate. 

 


Actor/ Sound Designer

Derek Shelton

Derek Shelton is a Sensory Improvisation Specialist, improvising with sound and music to enhance the stage atmosphere. Derek has been with That's Hilarious since their inception. Derek is a talented performer whose quick-witted abilities and fast reflexes have gained him the respect of performers nationwide.
